We decided to spend the day at Adventure Cove cos she's been wanting to go there after hearing me rave about it. I love Adventure Cove! It's my second time there in 3 months. I love the various exciting slides especially the Riptide Rocket and the Rainbow Reef which is essentially an area where you can snorkel and see pretty fishes and corals. Riptide Rocket is the star ride of the attraction I feel. Its like a roller coaster ride but in the form of a float hahaha, there's like 3 plunges altogether and the sudden drop is very, very thrilling. My mum love that ride the most too!
It rained in the afternoon unfortunately, so we spent a few hours waiting for the rain to stop. Nevertheless that didn't stop us from taking the rest of the rides after. We went on a rampage after that hahaha, just keep taking the rides, laze in the lazy river and ended the day with another round at the Rainbow Reef.
I'm really lucky to have a mum that's adventurous despite her age (although she annoys me like 97% of the time). Willing to travel; especially by foot to explore around, willing to eat just about anything (but she firmly says no to eating insects ah well), willing to take the Roller coaster ride with me at USS, willing to go White water rafting at Bali, willing to take silly pictures with me hahaha! Thankful for a mum like her :*)
Prior to that we had lunch at TCC. Thanks to Rong who signed me up for the TCC member card; which in turn after spending $88 I signed my mum up for the membership, we are entitled to 50% off our meal cos it's my mum's birthday month. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at TCC Vivocity. Our previous trip to TCC (on my birthday) was pretty horrendous. We decided to go to the outlet at Changi Airport, which in my opinion was a stupid decision, and the food there were subpar. The menu's different and the food is just, urgh. It's just bad.
The food was sooooooo good. Really nothing like what we had at the airport!
After Adventure Cove, met up with papa for our celebratory dinner at Chin Huat Live Seafood which is located at Sunset way. Its always a tradition for us to have a simple dinner on our birthdays and without a doubt, its always seafood. Sometimes I will try to be different and suggest something else like Steakhouses or Italian Restaurants but ultimately, we will always go back to seafood zhi chars. My parents just love eating crabs haha.
I love my family :)
In case y'all don't already notice, I'm a family girl at heart and I adore my parents to bits. There are many ways a child can show their love to their parents and my way is just trying to spend as much time as I can with them and also to pay back in kind whenever I can. My parents have given me nothing but the best since young and I can only hope that I can do the same in the future.
Who do you guys think I resemble more? My dad or my mum? Haha
Personally I think I got the best genes out of my parents, but that's just me being shameless and bias heh.
Enjoy the weekend guys!
Time for me to hit the books once again for my last and final paper.
